Automatic quantity takeoff from 3D models

Written by Wenn Property

One of the most time-consuming parts of an inspection is quantity takeoff. Measuring area, volume, and lengths manually takes time and is prone to error. With Wenn Property you can extract precise figures directly from the 3D model.

How does it work?

Once you’ve scanned a room with LiDAR, Wenn Property automatically analyzes the 3D model. The app recognizes walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and doors – and calculates all relevant measurements.

Automatic calculations

  • Floor area: Total floor area calculated from room geometry
  • Wall surfaces: Area for each wall, including deductions for windows and doors
  • Volume: Room volume calculated from floor to ceiling
  • Lengths: Wall lengths, perimeters, and diagonals

Use cases

For tradespeople

Plan material purchases with precise quantities. Know exactly how much paint, tile, or flooring you need – without going back to re-measure.

For property managers

Document property conditions with precise measurements. Compare changes over time with historical scans.

For surveyors

Deliver precise area calculations as a basis for appraisal. Save time on measurement and focus on the assessment.

From calculation to report

Quantity calculations integrate directly into report generation. With one click you get a professional report with floor plans, dimensions, and calculations – ready to share with the client.
